This article is for NetSuite Legacy Tax users only. If you have NetSuite SuiteTax, read this article to learn how to edit the Sovos Configuration Record.
- Go to Sovos Legacy > Legacy Tax > Configuration.
- In the Sovos Configuration row, click Edit.
- If you don't see that row, click New Sovos Legacy Configuration.
- Fill in the following information:
- Name: Sovos Configuration

Sovos URL: Enter the URL that hosts the adapter environment (UAT or Production).
- UAT: https://tweadaptersuat.taxware.net/
- PROD: https://tweadapters.taxware.net/
- Sovos User: Enter your Sovos username.
- Sovos Entity: Enter your Sovos operating unit name.
- Sovos Password: Enter your Sovos password.
- Sovos Send Error Email: Enter the email address of your Sovos service account.
- Sovos Send Error Email Employee: Enter the internal NetSuite ID of the employee whose name will appear as the sender of the error email. This employee must have an email address associated with NetSuite.
- Sovos Error Email Recipients: Enter the email addresses, separated by semicolons, of the individuals you want to send error emails to.
- Sovos TWE Enabled: Select this option to turn on the NetSuite Adapter for GTD in your environment.
- Sovos Instance Name: Enter your NetSuite environment name.
- Sovos Single Tax Code: Select this option if you want to use a single tax code for all US transactions rather than individual tax codes for each state. Using a single tax code will give you a general idea of what you owe in each state; for more specific and accurate amounts, leave this feature turned off.
- Activate Override Tax Details: Select this option if you want to back calculate taxes.
The Sovos URL, User, Entity, and Password will be provided to you by your Professional Services consultant.
- Select all transaction types that you want to support (Sovos Support Credit, Sovos Support Cash Sale, etc.).
- Click Save.
