How to edit the Sovos Configuration Record in the NetSuite Legacy Tax Adapter for GTD

This article is for NetSuite Legacy Tax users only. If you have NetSuite SuiteTax, read this article to learn how to edit the Sovos Configuration Record.

  1. Go to Sovos Legacy > Legacy Tax > Configuration.

  2. In the Sovos Configuration row, click Edit.
    • If you don't see that row, click New Sovos Legacy Configuration.

  3. Fill in the following information:
    • Name: Sovos Configuration
    • Sovos URL: Enter the URL that hosts the adapter environment (UAT or Production).
      • UAT: https://tweadaptersuat.taxware.net/
      • PROD: https://tweadapters.taxware.net/
    • Sovos User: Enter your Sovos username.
    • Sovos Entity: Enter your Sovos operating unit name.
    • Sovos Password: Enter your Sovos password.
    • Sovos Send Error Email: Enter the email address of your Sovos service account.
    • Sovos Send Error Email Employee: Enter the internal NetSuite ID of the employee whose name will appear as the sender of the error email. This employee must have an email address associated with NetSuite.
    • Sovos Error Email Recipients: Enter the email addresses, separated by semicolons, of the individuals you want to send error emails to.
    • Sovos TWE Enabled: Select this option to turn on the NetSuite Adapter for GTD in your environment.
    • Sovos Instance Name: Enter your NetSuite environment name.
    • Sovos Single Tax Code: Select this option if you want to use a single tax code for all US transactions rather than individual tax codes for each state. Using a single tax code will give you a general idea of what you owe in each state; for more specific and accurate amounts, leave this feature turned off.
    • Activate Override Tax Details: Select this option if you want to back calculate taxes.
The Sovos URL, User, Entity, and Password will be provided to you by your Professional Services consultant.

  4. Select all transaction types that you want to support (Sovos Support Credit, Sovos Support Cash Sale, etc.).
  5. Click Save.
