How to set the Sovos password in the NetSuite Legacy Tax Adapter for GTD

The Sovos password is encrypted when the Password v2 value on the Sovos Configuration Record is entered for the first time or updated. The encrypted password must be distributed to all script deployments used by the adapter.

To set or change the Sovos password, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Sovos Legacy > Legacy Tax > Configuration.



  2. In the Sovos Configuration row, click Edit.



  3. Enter a password in the Sovos Password v2 field, then click Save to encrypt the password.



  4. Go to Customization > Scripting > Scripts.



  5. In the Sovos Legacy Configuration Pass Encrypt row, click View.



  6. Go to the Execution Log tab and copy the cipherout.iv value in the Details column.
    • If you don't see a cipherout.iv value, repeat steps 1-3 to update the password and generate a new value.




  7. Go to Customization > Scripting > Scripts.



  8. In the Sovos Legacy Record Submit User Event row, click Deployments.



  9. Click Edit on the first deployment record in the list.



  10. Confirm the following settings:
    • Deployed: Selected
    • Status: Released
    • Log Level: Debug
    • Execute Role: Administrator



  11. In the Audience tab, confirm the following settings:
    • Roles: Select All
    • Subsidiaries: (OneWorld accounts only) Select all subsidiaries that apply
    • Employees: Select All



  12. Click Save.
  13. Repeat steps 10-12 for all deployment records in the list.
    • If you want to support another AR Transaction type, click New Deployment and select the new AR Transaction type from the Applies To dropdown list, then repeat steps 10-12.
  14. Go to Customization > Scripting > Scripts.



  15. In the Sovos Legacy Tax Calc Suitelet row, click Deployments.



  16. Repeat steps 10-12 for all deployment records in the list.
  17. Go to Customization > Scripting > Scripts.



  18. In the Sovos Legacy Commit Map row, click Deployments.



  19. Repeat steps 10-12 for all deployment records in the list.
