When should I use GTD reports vs Sovos Filing reports?

Reports in GTD Cloud focus on organization setup and transaction data, while reports in Sovos Filing focus on what tax amounts are being filed and where.

Use GTD Cloud reports if you want to:

  • Make sure your organization is set up correctly
  • Check if the tax amounts calculated by GTD match yours
  • See where your organization has nexus

Use Sovos Filing reports if you want to:

  • See the tax collected for a given filing period
  • Check which transactions are included in which returns
  • Keep track of your organization's liability
