CertManager release notes

Version 13.4 - January 2, 2025

New and improved

  • We added a ZIP+4 field to the Location section in customer information.
  • The bulk customer upload template has also been updated with this ZIP+4 field. From now on, you must use the updated template to upload customers. If you use a previous template, your upload will fail.

Bug fixes

  • An error message will appear if there are unsupported characters in the message part of an email.
  • The Incomplete filter now works as expected. Previously, if you left the Exemptions page and then came back, the filter would still be applied to the list of exemptions but would not appear to be selected.

Version 13.2 - September 3, 2024

New and improved

  • The Apply to sub jurisdiction field is now editable for all exemption statuses via bulk edit.
  • We added five new Entity/Use Codes.

Bug fixes

  • We fixed an issue that caused incorrect GTD sync statuses for some bulk uploads with large numbers of multi-jurisdictional exemptions for one customer.

Version 13.1.1 - July 8, 2024

New and improved

  • We added two new Entity/Use Codes:
    • Colorado Retail Delivery Fee Qualified Business
    • Minnesota Road Improvement and Food Delivery Fee Small Business

Bug fixes

  • When updating an exemption image, uploading a new PDF and clicking Update Exemption Image now works as expected.
  • We fixed the columns and headers in the exemption report.
  • We renamed the State/Province column of the exemption report to Jurisdiction Name. The column now includes local jurisdictions.
  • You will now receive a downloadable error report if a bulk exemption upload fails to complete.
  • Setting the date to 01/01/1970 no longer returns an error.

Version 13.1 - June 4, 2024

New and improved

  • You can now add local exemptions through the bulk exemption upload template or the CertManager API. You can edit local exemptions through the bulk exemption upload template, the CertManager API, or the Exemptions page in CertManager
    • Local exemptions have the same GTD integration as state/province exemptions.
  • We updated the bulk exemption upload template to support local exemptions. Going forward, you must use the new template to bulk upload exemptions even if you do not have any local exemptions.
  • The maximum number of customers that you can upload in a CSV file for email campaigns is now 40,000.
  • The Select customers page for email campaigns now works as expected with a large number of customers.

Bug fixes

  • Clicking View Downloads will now open the Downloads panel.
  • If a bulk upload file fails to process, the error report will now show the correct error message instead of a generic error message.
  • The bulk upload template now has the same character limit for SKUs as CertManager.
    • The maximum length for an individual SKU is 40 characters.
    • The maximum length for the entire comma-separated list of SKUs is 999 characters.

Version 12.20 - February 21, 2024

New and improved

  • Customer numbers can now include a colon (:).

Bug fixes

  • You can now bulk upload up to 1000 customers when selecting the recipients of an email.
  • The Certificate Number will now appear correctly when viewing a previous version of an exemption.
  • We fixed the error message that the API returns if you try to create a customer without the correct S1 permissions.
    • Instead of a 400 Bad Request response, the API will now return a 207 response with the message Created a customer, failed to notify other services due to insufficient privileges.
  • You are now required to enter a start date and end date if you select between from the date options when creating a report.
  • When updating or merging auditable exemptions, if a child customer should inherit the exemption but does not have it because they are not synced to GTD, CertManager will now add the missing exemption to the child customer.
    • Previously, CertManager would return the message Attempting to edit an uneditable field and would not let you update the exemption.
  • We fixed an issue with pulling exemption data from a specific date range using the Last Modified Date in the Exemptions page and the API.
