How to set up security credentials in the NetSuite SuiteTax Adapter for GTD

Activating Custom Records

You must have the Sovos Administrator role to do this.

  1. Go to Setup > Company > Enable Features.
  2. Click the SuiteCloud tab and make sure Custom Records is selected.

Setting up security credentials

  1. Go to Setup > Sovos > Sovos Configuration Setup.
  2. In the Sovos URL field, enter the URL that hosts the adapter environment:
    • Staging: tweadaptersstaging.taxware.net
    • UAT: tweadaptersuat.taxware.net
    • Production: tweadapters.taxware.net
  3. Click Next.

  4. In the Username field, enter the username that was created by Professional Services during onboarding.
  5. In the Enter Password field, enter the password that was created during onboarding.
  6. Click Submit.

Once you've finished setting up security credentials, you can test your connection with a sales order.

Refreshing Sandbox will overwrite these settings. If you refresh Sandbox from the Production environment, you may need to edit the security credentials to point to the correct environment.

Editing the Configuration Record

You must have the Administrator role to do this.

  1. Go to Customization > Lists, Records, & Fields > Record Types.
  2. Click the List link on the Sovos Configuration Record line.

  3. In the Sovos Configuration row, click Edit.

  4. You can edit the following fields:
    • Name: The name of the configuration record.
    • Sovos URL: The URL that hosts the adapter environment.
    • Send Error Email: If selected, the adapter will send an email when an error happens.
    • Error Email Sender: The person in NetSuite whose name will appear as the sender of the error email. This person must have an email address associated with NetSuite.
    • Error Email Recipients: The email address of the person in NetSuite that will receive the error email.
    • User: The username that Sovos Professional Services created during onboarding.

  5. Once you’ve finished editing the record, click Save.

Each user account should contain one configuration record. If the user tries to call the adapter without a configuration record or with multiple configuration records, they'll get an error.
