This article is for NetSuite SuiteTax users only. If you have NetSuite Legacy Tax, read this article for help with creating a cash sale.
- Go to Transactions > Customers > Issue Credit Memos.
- Select a customer from the Customer dropdown menu.
- Select a location from the Location dropdown menu.
- In the Items tab, select an item from the Item dropdown menu.
- Enter a value in the Amount field.
- Click the Add button to add the line item to the invoice.
- Click Preview Tax.
- You can check the total tax amount in the Summary box.
- Go to the Tax Details tab if you want to check the individual tax lines.
- Click Save.
- Click Refund.
- A new transaction will appear with all of the fields automatically filled in with the information selected in the cash sale.
- Click Save.
