How to create a direct cash sale in NetSuite SuiteTax

This article is for NetSuite SuiteTax users only. If you have NetSuite Legacy Tax, read this article for help with creating a cash sale.

  1. Go to Transactions > Customers > Issue Credit Memos.
  2. Select a customer from the Customer dropdown menu.
  3. Select a location from the Location dropdown menu.



  4. In the Items tab, select an item from the Item dropdown menu.
  5. Enter a value in the Amount field.
  6. Click the Add button to add the line item to the invoice.



  7. Click Preview Tax.
  8. You can check the total tax amount in the Summary box.



  9. Go to the Tax Details tab if you want to check the individual tax lines.
  10. Click Save.



  11. Click Refund.
  12. A new transaction will appear with all of the fields automatically filled in with the information selected in the cash sale.
  13. Click Save
