To look up which of your product codes are mapped to a certain Good/Service code in Global Tax Determination (GTD), follow these steps:
- If you have multiple organizations, make sure the correct organization is selected from the dropdown on the left panel.
- Select the Good/Service tab, then select Find Good/Service Mapping. The name of your organization will appear under the header.
- Decide how you want to search for the product code whose Good/Service code mapping you want to view:
- Browse through the Good/Service categories to find the code you want.
- Use the search functions to filter the codes shown in the panel and select the code you want.
Browsing manually
- Click the boxes next to the categories to move through the Good/Service subcategories until you find the code you want.
- Select the code on the main screen.
- Continue to the Finding mappings section of this guide.
Using search functions
To search for a custom Goods/Service code, select the All Custom option from the dropdown in the Find Good/Service Where: section, then click Go. Select the code from the search results.
To search for a specific Good/Service code, select Code Is: from the dropdown menu and type the code into the empty field, then click Go. Select the code from the search results.
- You must enter the exact code you're looking for as the function can't search for partial codes.
To search for a Good/Service code by its description, select Description: from the dropdown menu and type at least one word from the description into the empty field, then click Go.
Finding mappings
Once you've selected your code, click Find Mapping(s). You'll see the Good/Service code you selected followed by a list of your product codes that have been mapped to that Good/Service code.
There are a few things you can do from here:
- Click Clear Good/Service to begin a new search. This will bring you back to the Find Good/Service Mapping screen.
- See How to map your products to Good/Service codes to view or edit the taxing rules for the Goods/Service code you selected.
If you've made any changes to the mappings or descriptions, make sure to click Save, or your changes will not be applied.
You can also enter a product code or a range of codes in the fields after Enter Client Code(s) for Reverse Lookup and click Find to see a list of Goods/Service codes that have been mapped to the product codes.
